As you know it has been very cold in Central Florida. Whenever the outside temperatures drop below 40 degrees, we activate the Cold Night Shelter Plan thanks to our partnership with Seminole County Emergency Management Team, SACSON and Recovery House of Central Florida. Whether it was being a suicide counselor, case manager, shelter manager, director of development or executive director, I’ve been blessed to meet the needs of people that are hurting.
I am currently in Leadership Seminole Class 20, and just when I thought I had seen it all, I realize that there are so many great agencies helping people in Seminole County.
The Leadership Seminole program exposes participating community leaders to the issues and workings of government, the arts, public safety, education, and other areas.
Serving Team
Our ministry is blessed to have dedicated staff members who work together to insure that the homeless in Sanford, Florida are cared for 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
The Mission has long been known for its dedicated volunteers who serve as our corporate leaders. They represent a variety of religious, professional, cultural and ethnic backgrounds. In their diversity they all share in common a sense of calling to serve the Lord through ministering to the homeless. All Trustees are active in a local church community as well as at the Mission.
